Dr. Andrew R. Walker earned his undergraduate degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
While attending veterinary school, Dr. Walker volunteered alongside Dr. Steve Colburn, DVM, gaining valuable hands-on experience in equine veterinary medicine. After completing his veterinary education, he returned to become a partner in the formation and early development of Creekside Veterinary Service.
Throughout his career, Dr. Walker has remained committed to continuing education and the advancement of veterinary medicine. His professional interests include the ultrasonic diagnosis of equine lameness, rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, and the use of regenerative therapies to support the healing of soft tissue injuries in horses.
Dr. Walker has developed expertise in ultrasound-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including spinal articular facet injections and the placement of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapies for ligament and tendon lesions.
His dedication to clinical excellence, lifelong learning, and innovative treatment approaches has helped shape Creekside Veterinary Service’s commitment to providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional service to its clients and patients.
